I haven't waded through the entire article yet (I always get confused when I start reading about Congo: there are so many factions with so many names and so many agenda, and so many atrocities), but I plan to digest it bit by bit.

This is an important piece about the power of (American) diplomacy, especially in such a longstanding hotbed of intractability. I hope this peace is solid. (We have a Belgian friend whose daughter and her boyfriend have been working in the Congo, and he's rightfully been very concerned about her safety.)
