BLM’s next move against Bundy not a matter of if, but when, former officials say
By HENRY BREAN
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
... The BLMs message, repeated word for word by different agency representatives over the past month: We will continue to pursue this matter administratively and judicially ...
Retired National Park Service official Alan ONeill expects the next move to come from one of two places: the Justice Department or U.S. District Judge Larry Hicks, author of the October court order that gave Bundy 45 days to remove his cattle or risk losing them to the government. Hicks also ordered the rancher not to physically interfere with any seizure or impoundment operation ...
If you owed a million dollars to the Internal Revenue Service, do you think they would show you any mercy? Starrs asked ...
Bundy is unlikely to find so many people standing at his side the next time the government comes for his cattle. Many of the politicians and prominent media personalities who initially supported him quickly turned their backs after he made racist remarks at a pair of his own news conferences last month. Weeks later, the 68-year-old ranchers controversial comments continue to reverberate across the nation. President Barack Obama and comedian Joel McHale mocked Bundy during the annual White House Correspondents Dinner on May 3 ...

From our own personal experience, not for a minute. Not for a year or two or twenty!

(12,503 posts)I'm the same age as this dipstick, and the last thing I would want to do with my last 10 or 15 quality years of life is waste them bucking heads with anybody, and facing lawsuits, arrest, bail hearings, yada yada. It must be damn miserable to wake up every morning and realize you're a republican. No wonder they're such douche nozzles.
I bet he works himself into a stroke over all this crap he's pulling.

(8,200 posts)They sincerely hoped that it would lead to a fire fight and that the insurrectionists would be hailed as martyrs protecting the rights of the people against the intrusion of the government. They could have cared less if these deranged malcontents were killed, in fact they would have welcomed their deaths with 24/7 condemnation of the Obama administration. This is what they sincerely hoped and prayed for and thankfully those in charge didn't provide them with their grand opportunity to further alienate the right-wing zealots of ignorance. I am of the opinion that the administration realized what was actually taking place and walked away. Benghazi would have been relegated to the dustbin and the Bundy charade would have been the new railing cry of the Republicans.

(7,808 posts)We're in a bit of a cool spell here, about 10 to 20 degrees below normal.
Once we get back to normal, it's guaranteed that those militia thugs from Idaho and Montana won't be able to take it. It may be a dry heat, but hanging out all day in the sun, 100+ degrees with dust flying all around would test the hardiest desert dweller. Those pansies from up north will be looking for any excuse to get out.
I sure hope that there is a plan in place where the RWNJs can be arrested one at a time with no chance of martyrdom.

(20,176 posts)I mean at its most basic level, that's what this is...RWNJs standing up for the right (in their own condemnation of communism) of the individual to take from society what he has not earned by his labors.
Standing-up for Cliven Bundy's right to be a moocher.
Oh hypocrisy, conservatives never change.
