(5,756 posts)Where the hugely rich Romney denigrated almost half the country and said they'd never vote for him. Well yes, asshole. We won't vote for a lying POS. We do have standards.

(43,145 posts)From his disgraced military background to his incendiary rhetoric, I just could not comprehend why this man would be elected to public office. What was worse was his own groupie contingent, who insisted he was an "American hero" for his acts of torture in Iraq and claiming he was somehow presidental material. While in retrospect it was a minority, it was a vocal minority, and at times I felt as if I was somehow The Only Sane Man, wanting to cry out, "Doesn't anyone else see that this man is completely nuts? Anyone at all?"
And then he lost his bid for re-election, and it was like the curtain had been suddenly been lifted: the voters were in fact smarter than what I had hoped, and saw him for who he really was.
And now he's just nothing more than a laughable nut with no power or authority. But as an elected official, he was scary.

(5,106 posts)that Black Conservative Republicans DO frighten me somewhat. This man is out of power, but then so are most of the featured speakers at CPAK. Thank God.
