People should be expecting a surprising number of political ads during the Super Bowl tonight. And one of them was played on todays Meet the Press, when host David Gregory asked New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg about a gun control ad he made with Thomas Menino. In the ad, Bloomberg and Menino admit they dont agree on much (including which team to back in tonights game), but they do see eye-to-eye on the issue of gun safety. SNIP ...

would have enough to buy a vocal interest in Ruger or S&W and change the discussion from inside the industry who's donations are such a big part of why there is no national dialogue. If he cared enough about the situation to do so.

the run up to invading Iraq would have stirred a much more vibrant national dialogue as well, but apparently it failed to do so.
