Related: About this forumThe Killing Of America (Uncut)
A documentary of the decline of America. It features a lot a footage (most exclusive to this film) from race riots to serial killers and much-much more. While this documentary is easily available everywhere else, it has never been released, distributed, televised nor made available for sale in the USA. This documentary argues that the turning point was when John Kennedy was assassinated in Texas 1963 combined with poverty, racism, the Vietnam war, and gun violence.

(35,568 posts)You're welcome Little Star. I'm still watching it.
JFK was before my time but I cried watching the assassination footage. I'd seen it before, many times, but this time it really hit me hard imagining the shock and pain the country went through. Watching Jackie on the car just killed me. The rest is a bit hard to watch too so I had to take a mental break. Thanks for bookmarking it to watch. Let me know what you think afterwards.

(35,568 posts)but I don't know how safe that is. There's also a real player add-on for browsers that allows you to download directly from youtube but I don't know if it can handle such a large file. I never tried. Good luck.

(7,699 posts)The History of Violence in America, and she was asking me for help with a paper yesterday.
Looks like this will be just what my sister needs. She has little to no concept of history,
always hated it, I am a history major. She is taking criminal justice courses.

(7,699 posts)I was twelve, just becoming aware of the wider world around me. Lived in Hyattsville, Md,
just outside of the district. Watched the district burn from my friend's back porch.

(5,610 posts)This is a widely accepted opinion (many believe it was a govt. coup). Possibly, his murder and the continued un-prosecuted crimes of the ruling elite was the beginning of "the killing of america."
Also, these sociopaths are mostly high IQ people. I wonder if that is the reason for the "dumbing down" of americans?
Hell..idk

(2,594 posts)shouldn't be traced back earlier to the plot to get rid of FDR by Prescott Bush. Maybe Kennedy was their first "success".
easily believe that.
FDR made many bad decisions during his presidency (internment camps), I think his refusal to prosecute the treasonous elite, ranks right up there.
It is unbelievable what you can get by with in America if you are wealthy..

(2,594 posts)But I think FDR would have been the first to admit the internment camps were a mistake, but it was part of the time. I also think he would have supported the reparations. Contrast that with Cheney who is still shrilly trying to justify war crimes.
My wife got me a great book called "Together We Cannot Fail" that had a history of FDR's speeches with a CD that had recordings of excerpts. I really enjoyed it. Since then he has been one of my tops as far as presidents go.
If you measure a president by the magnitude of the crisis and their response to it, FDR and Lincoln are tops because I can't think of any other presidents that faced challenges so severe.

(5,610 posts)I will see if that is available at powells.com, the only Union bookstore that I am aware of..good deals too.
Obviously (as my avatar suggests) I have always identified myself as an FDR Democrat. Unfortunately, they are rare in politics. Pretty easy to find fakes during their candidacy period, but when elected most show their true corporate colors. Fortunately, we still have a handful...I hope they will support a non-violent coup...
Hell, I wish one would run for president...

(2,594 posts)I'm not great myself. The only action I have taken to date was calling in sick the day of shrub's first inauguration and I don't think anyone noticed. Good thing too, I was active duty at the time.

Unbelievable! No wonder the rest of the world thinks the U.S. is crazy.
