The following video is from the March 24th, 2013 episode of Ring of Fire on Free Speech TV (freespeech.org/ringoffire.) Recently, another story emerged where a Tea Party-type was gunned down after a stand off with police officers in Florida. The man claimed to be a “sovereign citizen,” a group that is growing in numbers. Sovereign citizens believe that they can personally secede from the United States, and that they are no longer subject to the US Constitution or other laws. Mike Papantonio talks about the rise of the sovereigns, and their violent nature, with Heidi Beirich from the Southern Poverty Law Center.
