(5,610 posts)I can't stop thinking about an MSNBC story that I read on the internet yesterday.
A multimillionaire in Florida was convicted of DUI and killing a 20ish y.o. man in the process. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison. He posted a $7million bail and got house arrest. That was not the story.
The "story" was that this multi-millionaire had attempted to adopt his 42 year old girlfriend in an attempt to secure his money from the deceased man's estate. The poor thing was not allowed to adopt his girlfriend from the confines of his mansion. Really, that was "THE story, that the court would not allow him to adopt his girlfriend.
There was no outrage about his $7million keeping him out of prison...just a story about his inability to adopt his girlfriend....
how sick is our country, it's 2 tiered legal system, it's MSM and it's total lack of outrage (even a mention of) any of these inequalities?

(345 posts)Obama was smiling and that has nothing to do with what is going on in Chicago . Rahm is to blame and he was a big problem when he was in the white house .

(3,781 posts)What I did say is that is what the Obama twitter account tweeted right as teachers were being arrested.
Which upset me.
And Obama didn't have the Chicago teachers backs when they were on strike last year, and he doesn't now.
