Elizabeth Colbert Busch Lost to Push Polls?

(From Friday's show) Thom Hartmann says push polls may very well have helped propel disgraced former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford to victory over opponent Elizabeth Colbert Busch in this week's U.S. House race.

The questions were stupid but I guess so were the receivers of the poll. One of the questions even asked how you would feel if you knew that Colbert Busch was "caught" charging up her charge cards. Isn't that what charge cards are for? They were trying to make it sound (not saying as much, but with tone of question) like she was using a company card or some such thing and charging personal stuff...

This was an actual ad in Mississippi a few elections back. I can't remember who won, but I imagine the ad cost the opposition several votes.

Don't like outsiders telling them what to do. It's always an "Us" ( proud Southern whites ) vs. "THEM."
HATE anything pushed by "Liberals." ( Sorry, Stephen, you just made it sweeter for SC to vote "against YOU." )
And in keeping the patriarchy alive, they prefer a male to a female in positions of power. ( Ya know, the way "God" wants it. )
No one mentioned the push polls; they probably didn't get them, or didn't answer the landlines.
