During a congressional hearing on Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder was grilled by representatives regarding his knowledge of the scandal surrounding the Justice Department’s seizure of the Associated Press’ phone records. Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) interrogated Holder over his decision to recuse himself from the case, and declared that the Obama administration had “impaired the First Amendment.”
