This was a year before I was born. My biggest memory of Mr. Welch was as the judge in a terriffic movie from 1959, "Anatomy of a Murder" with Jimmy Stewart, Arthur O'Connell, Lee Remick (on whom I always had a crush), Ben Gazarra and a few other old time actors & actresses. He played a man very close to the description my father and stepmother gave of him, as a gentle and very intelligent judge whose first priority in the trial was simple justice.

In my opinion, he needs to be remembered as a great man for his part in bringing that bully down.

BTW, K&R!

PEACE!
