Although it can help some people see how a world with a day of lawlessness would help eradicate people's {and corporate} enemies and can serve as a warning, the bloodshed is too high for my taste. And the fact that the family take in one of the chosen victims - a black man - is just too much for me.

Be sure and do your research. This is not an original idea - Star Trek "Return of the Archons," etc. - that's what I think of off the top of my head. There are other antecedents.

That's because you probably have no morals. People with morals wouldn't give a crap if the government said that all crime is legal. They still wouldn't kill someone or steal.

The movie's only purpose is to show that some people only behave a certain way because of the threat of punishment. Moral people don't need threats to behave.
