DES MOINES, Iowa —KCCI has confirmed that the FBI has launched its own investigation into Rep. Michele Bachmann's failed presidential campaign.

The Urbandale Police Department, the Polk County Attorneys Office, the Iowa Senate Ethics Committee, the Federal Elections Commission and the Office of Congressional Ethics are already investigating claims ranging from ethics violations to criminal activity in Bachmann's 2012 presidential bid.

Peter Waldron, a former Bachmann staffer in Iowa, claims a crime took place inside the Bachmann campaign's Urbandale headquarters and that state Sen. Kent Sorenson, a co-chairman of the campaign, stole a valuable home schooling list off of a computer belonging to a woman volunteer.

On May 10, the Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady named Des Moines Attorney Mark Weinhardt as a special investigator in the case. Weinhardt will look into ethics complaints against Sorenson.

E) That families are forced into bankruptcies,possibly forced into homelessness by medical conditions and as a result of being denied or not being able to afford coverage.
