(25,930 posts)I can't remember when or where I first heard the term, but it's probably my most-used euphemism for the slammer.
It's in reference to this story:
FBI launches investigation into Bachmann campaign
DES MOINES, Iowa KCCI has confirmed that the FBI has launched its own investigation into Rep. Michele Bachmann's failed presidential campaign.
The Urbandale Police Department, the Polk County Attorneys Office, the Iowa Senate Ethics Committee, the Federal Elections Commission and the Office of Congressional Ethics are already investigating claims ranging from ethics violations to criminal activity in Bachmann's 2012 presidential bid.
Peter Waldron, a former Bachmann staffer in Iowa, claims a crime took place inside the Bachmann campaign's Urbandale headquarters and that state Sen. Kent Sorenson, a co-chairman of the campaign, stole a valuable home schooling list off of a computer belonging to a woman volunteer.
On May 10, the Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady named Des Moines Attorney Mark Weinhardt as a special investigator in the case. Weinhardt will look into ethics complaints against Sorenson.

(280 posts)I hate that stuff, saying God will answer their prayers against OBAMACARE! What happened when we experienced 9-11, Aurora, Kartrina, Sandy Hook, Boston Marathon, Waco, etc., and all the gun deaths across the countrytoo? Their god is sooooo political that there will be a response to this hair-brained prayer?

(2,140 posts)That is praying for:A)Being denied health care. B)Paying more for less health care. C)That children and the elderly suffer from lack of health care. D) That insurance companies pad their bank accounts at the expense of everyone else, including those offering these prayers, and to the good of no one else. E) That families are forced into bankruptcies, possibly forced into homelessness by medical conditions and as a result of being denied or not being able to afford coverage.
Please...WHO makes these prayers.I need to know so I might keep myself a safe distance from them.
Once that is resolved,I'd next like to know what kind of god listens to this shit and even fleetingly considers granting those wishes.I know it can't be the same god I was taught about,as a kid.

At a minimum I would advise you to stay out of Kansas, Texas and most of the deep South.

(2,140 posts)Those same mental deficients are all around me,here in down state Illinois...One is right next door in fact,in the form of one who draws Gov.disablilty, which supports his family in large part,as well as having his families medical care covered by state aid,yet constantly blathers about the need to cut the very programs he,himself, depends on.Of course he wants the ACA repealed.
No,I was thinking more along the lines of having these special ed refuges all wear some sort of uniform that distinguishes them from normal people...Or tattooing "IDIOT" on their foreheads...
I'm saying these things with tongue in cheek,by the way.Well, except the neighbor part. That's true.

37 The expert in the law replied, The one who had mercy on him.
Jesus told him, Go and do likewise.

Sounds like an endorsement of Obamacare to me!!!
Even Islam has something to say! And there's nothing about pay-as-you-go, here, either:
That woman is SUCH a crackpot!!! Do they want a 38th vote? They need to...like the GOP said to us, in three "pithy" words, after the Supreme Court wiped their asses on the Constitution...GET OVER IT. It's the law! Too Frigging Bad!!!

(4,192 posts)Exact opposite of the principles in the New Testament. What she is doing is "using the Lord's name in vain" so much more than anyone just cussing. I sure wish so many sincere Christians didn't act so gullible. But requiring everyone to believe the same thing just to feel vindicated is a textbook sign of doubt and insecurity. Outside their circles, Bachman's insanity is perfectly clear.

Hey psycho Michele: no one wants to insure seniors in the first place, it's why Medicare came into existence.
