1. We have only learned in recent years how badly the Republicans sabotaged

Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter. Out for blood with Bill Clinton, who leaned far more in their direction than previous Democratic presidents, they managed impeachment and wasted time and taxpayer money. They've now frankly admitted that they're out to destroy President Obama, rather than get on with the business of government. The Democrats aren't especially the good guys, lord knows, but had they deservedly, likewise, gone after Dubya and his recent party predecessors, government would now be totally collapsed. Attention needs to be paid!
