Above, Chris Hayes interviews a pro-solar Tea Party activist. The solar energy initiative they are talking about (this was broadcast last month) was successful.
We believe this giant utility monopoly deserves some competition, and consumers deserve a choice. Its just that simple.
Holy crap. A conservative that really believes in conservatism. That could blow the whole scam
Truthout:
The Tea Party has formed an unholy alliance with the left, Debbie Dooley recalls a panicked member of Georgias big energy lobby lamenting.
Dooley, a co-founder of the Atlanta Tea Party Patriots, doesnt deny the charges. In fact, she is set this Tuesday to celebrate the official launch of the Green Tea Coalition the same unholy alliance of right and left grassroots that has big oil interests reeling.
Its an unholy alliance because they see it as a threat to them, Dooley said, speaking ahead of the launch. In the past, the elites on both the right and the left got away with it. On the right, theyd say, This persons on the left. Stay away from them, On the left, theyd say, Theyre radical, theyre the Tea Party. Stay away from them.
But we got through all that bull, got to know each other, and started working together, she said.

(3,991 posts)They worry about it with the government, but the critical minds will see it in all things, and consider the benefits of self sustaining energy they can control, that doesn't depend on a global order and foreign energy imports. That means standing against the forces that suppress community energy independence, and embracing things like solar. (in areas with a lot of sun)

(1,648 posts)You say that Tea Party Members are for COAL & NUCLEAR (remember Fukishami, 2011?) I'm sorry but that's not matching up statements at all...what I mean is this is not credible...for a second I thought progressives had an environmental ally with the Tea Party. Oh well, it's only the Environment, not like it was important like the Dow-Jones. (Sarcasm)
