My admiration for Howard Zinn exceeds mere hero worship. He was everything an historian should be: Honest, fearless and driven to enlighten the ignorant and exploited. Matt Damon, it should also be noted, does himself a great deal of credit by being a part of this documentary.

I've watched part 1 and will see the rest tomorrow. My first intro to Mr. Zinn's work was probably from this DU site and I want to thank you all for that. I read his book, the People's History last year and it had a profound affect on me. 1. As an Italian, I will never celebrate Columbus Day again and will continue to find more reasons to study his writings. 2. We need more Howard Zinns in this world and I inspire to be one. Thanks.
