Yesterday, American Family Radio’s Sandy Rios spoke to Ex-Gay Pride Month organizer Christopher Doyle about today’s ex-gay lobby day on Capitol Hill. Doyle, who was organizing the since-canceled Ex-Gay Pride banquet at the Family Research Council, complained in an interview with the Christian Post that “un-American” LGBT rights advocates have “shut us out,” explaining that “because of all this homo-fascism and indoctrination in the media, ex-gays aren’t given a fair shake.”

Rios confidently predicted that “thousands of ex-gays are descending” on Washington for a press conference planned for today at the Supreme Court. She lamented that when she led Concerned Women for America the media refused to hear “our ex-gay friends” because it “undermined the whole effort of the homosexual lobby.”

The attendance was zero because the 8 am rally didn't happen. It was cancelled due to rain. At least the Washington Times admitted as much when reporting this nonstory. Why did you run with it? And why are you taking tweets from that Fox tool Kerpen as gospel?

other than some reporter. All i saw was the clip of the ad for the event in a local web blog and topnewstoday, which i dont consider a right wing rag. Never saw anything about it being cancelled. If thats the case, then sorry I didnt see it.

This OFA climate change rally "story" was only found in disgusting propaganda purveyors like the Blaze, Washington Times, Free Republic, oh...and your post.

I didn't look at any of those sites you mention. Kings little "party" had around 50 people there which is a laugher, but more than the couple seen in the picture in the OP. Thats one reason it appeared to me as a joke. People do post sarcasm here on DU quite a bit.

The OP was funny. Your attempt to slip in some right wing propaganda was not.

He probably thinks because a couple of people showed up, it's proof that he's doing what's best for his constituents.

It would probably never occur to him that people don't care what he has to say, and don't want to hear any more about it, because they don't agree with him.

What an idiot, what a jerk, and what a waste of taxpayer time and money.

Going to see a republicon speak is like going to watch the world's biggest washing machine agitator, working in the world's biggest tub of bullshit. Steve King's ideas are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

The script says to first inform Fox News, so they can advertise before the GOP event, make buses available and bus people in.
