I really enjoyed watching him. He also seemed like someone you would enjoy having a conversation with.

(229 posts)... like when Nancy Pelosi appears "shocked" that the NSA was reading US-Citizens' communications. Can you say, "Damage Control?"
But the larger point with Immigration, is that the globally-unique policy of the US government - not to protect its own citizens ability to find employment by barring the hiring of foreigners, as does every other nation on Earth - has little to do with "Race" at all. Would it really matter if we were displaced from "our" jobs by Sweedes, instead? Sure, a few bigots will glom-onto the issue, but they are merely useful-idiot tools of the Right, as they have been since the days of Chattel-Slavery - a mechanism for dividing the working-class by granting one faction of it slightly better conditions of existence. This sick-trick is still going strong under the Wage-Slavery system.
In the Immigration Debate, racists are a sideshow used to con the American Left into defending the destruction of high-wage jobs and unions through labor-market flooding. This is yet another clever manipulation in the Koch-formulated Clintonese so-called "Free Trade" set of policies. Are we going to fall for this trick yet again?
