Sadly, the entire US and much of the world is learning bad behavior from cellphone users.

"I didn't have cell service where I was".

There still places like that up here, but they are getting fewer and fewer.

You will always need a phone, if just to dial 911 because of illness or an accident. I mostly keep my cellphone off, but it saved my life when I had problems and had to call 911 to go to the hospital. Plus, I could stand outside waiting for the ambulance while still on the line with the 911 operator.

I noticed it was starting to attach to my hand so we got rid of it and it was worth the fees to get out from under it.

at my home. It was ridiculous. We have a landline and my business works just fine. I had a client who wanted me on a smart phone. And while I still have that client I do not still have the Android. I feel for you and hope you get to make that phone of yours skip when you finally get to jettison it into the ocean.

I have two cell phones, one I use in North America, and one for Europe/Middle East, and they work ONLY as telephones. They do not order breakfast, read me wedding announcements in suburban Omaha or tell me how to drive from Bamako to Timbuktu. And somehow, apparently against all odds, I have managed to survive.

My superiors have been after me to get one, but I know that every waking minute that I have one, it will give me no peace. So far, I have resisted, even though I have been told that resistance is futile.

I just have a no bells or whistles cell phone and that is good enough for me. I don't work any longer, so I am home most of the time and I also have a land line.

people's heads are literally starting to permanently droop from being in hangdog form endlessly checking their lives on their handhelds - I see it in very young people

I only use it to check the stock market when I'm out and about; autism spectrum, numbers really help me through the day.

As for the phone part, I only got mine 6 months ago because my son and his family recently moved up here and being the good grandpa I need to be able to respond, if needed, quickly if there is any problem.

Secondly, I truly enjoy your posts.

Thank you.
