Important discussion on Chris Hayes' show last night...

In the "debate" which seems more like a ram-rod event and all discussion sounds more like, "We're doing this and all you can do is watch"... I found this 17:34 minute opening segment of Chis Hayes' "All In" 9/3/13 show informative at two points in the segment.

1) Early in the segment is a clip of Kerry's testimony at the hearing held yesterday where he points out that this particular resolution he's selling at the moment doesn't include "boots on the ground" right now... as in that comes later and we'll deal with that part after we make the mess we're proposing right now.

2) the last three and a half minutes of this segment is a professor Bassam Haddad who succinctly points out (before he's cut off) that there is a political solution to this issue (but nobody wants to go there) and that a military action now ensures that there will be no political option thereafter for reasons he also points to.

So the take home message to this whole BS posturing is that dealing with this as a political argument is too hard so let's just start bombing so we won't have to deal with "talking" this out with the primary actors and allies of both sides of the argument.
