Sorry for the ridiculous headline, but I do think more citizens need to accost more politicians in public like this. Weiner was a good one to start with.

Please anyone if you have a chance to corner a politician like a trapped rat on Youtube, film it! That is how citizen activists get their message out 21st century viral style!!

on edit: I did not know that the man in the video made derogatory remarks about Weiner's wife to provoke this shouting match. Clearly a bad example of citizen activism with a video camera. Sorry to any who took offense by my posting it.

Deleting the video link as well.

1. Is this the citizen activist who slammed Weiner for being married to an Arab?

If it is, I would have loved to watched Weiner punch his fucking lights out.

6. I did not know he said anything about his wife

Actually, I didn't know his wife was Arabic. OK. So in this case he was justified in losing it.

I still think more citizens should accost their leaders in public however and call them on their behavior.

I didn't know that. I just wanted to promote the idea of citizens engaging politicians in public and on video. Apparently I picked the wrong example.

3. Wiener is one of the most revolting characters in public. But in this particular case, he was right

He needs to be gone FOREVER.

But your video did not capture the thing that precipitated this conflict, which was the fact that the other man made a racial slur against Wiener's wife.

8. Sorry I did not realize this

I only posted the video because it made me think constituents should always turn on a video camera when interacting with any politician. But clearly this was a bad example.

5. I'm a whole lot less concerned about whether Weiner posted pics of his junk...

or whatever the hell he did, than about our sainted SOS Mr. Kerry banging the drums and lying about going to war in Syria.

In terms of concerns for humanity I'll stand with Anthony Weiner. Just sayin'

And IF that man made a derogatory remark about Weiner being married to an Arab (I couldn't catch that on the video), then he's a bigot and should STFU.

I have never emailed, or tweeted, etc., anything so risque (and embarrassing if it becomes public). Some may call me a prude, or just an old man, but this is a perfect realization of my worst fears, which is why I would never entertain it. Now, does that mean Weiner would be a bad mayor? I don't think a persons sexual peccadilloes translate to the way they address their other responsibilities in life. If they do, that's another issue. Weiner's wiener was in control of his other brain when he was off duty, and that's generally a male trait. He just needs to grow up and stay true to his wife. Otherwise, I think he's a good person.
