(17,301 posts)Even the idiot going around getting signatures does NOT know anything about Karl Marx.
I wish Obama would endorse Karl Marx or at least take Marx's analysis of capitalism to heart.
But since we don't teach economics, no one knows who Karl Marx is, or what he did. Even the fool who thinks he's funny by getting people to endorse a dead man doesn't know what he's talking about.
I bet if I went around asking for signature to put Milton Friedman on the ballot with Mitt Romney no one would know he's dead and that he was the major pusher of "free" market ideology.
It just goes to show you how poorly educated Americans are.

I just do not believe the people in that film were unaware of Karl Marx. Maybe people who follow politics are more aware of political ideas, but I still believe most people know about Karl Marx. In addition, the guy with the petition, Mark Dice, kept making reference to Obama and the Communist agenda and none of the people signing the petition even flinched. It just does not seem real to me that people would hear the words; Karl Marx, Communist agenda, and President Obama without even lifting an eyebrow.
I understand that this guy could have just interviewed a large amount of people before a few were willing to sign the petition. However, I do not even believe that happened. I just do not believe the people in the film did not know the subject(s) Mice Dice was talking about.
