According to their site,

Where are your products manufactured?
Most products are made in the United States. However, please refer to the specific Product Detail Page to find out where a product is manufactured.

The point of the posting is that there are as yet undiscovered ways of making it out there, even in underwear. Maybe a little less knee-jerk jealousy and uninformed finger-pointing, and a little more work, and some people would be better off...

And that "up the long ladder" I have seen before, some kind of reference to the guillotine. If one actually READS the history books, they would note that after they chopped off the heads of the few tyrants, the next people "up the long ladder" were the leaders on the Left, the workers, the "sans-culotte" that started the whole uprising. And then the wealthy simply replaced the tyrants. Anyone that wants to win should probably find a better way.

I've noticed that when the attack is personal, or about the Grammar/spelling used it's usually because the attacker is Wrong. or doubts their argument. The attacker has no other course than to attack these things. So I thank you for your attack. I look upon it proudly. In the Words of FDR, "I welcome their Hate!"

It's sad really that in this day you find yourself Defending the same class of people who brought the Economic bubble and burst cycle, The stagnant wadges, exploding cost, the collapsing middle class, and the sinking Poor. So you refer to the site, "Most Products are made in The US", is that in order of single part quantity or in order of quantity needed for the entire garment? In other words I might need 20 Eyelets for a set of boots but only one sole and one upper. do you see where I'm getting at? does the garment say made in the USA? They don't tell you. All I see is another rich 1%er paying Slave labor in China, and Minimum Wage in her shops and outlets in the US. All while saying to the public at large "look at me I made a Billion so can you". Puuulease
Like that can happen to everybody.

Up the Long ladder,
And down the short rope,
To hell with King Billy,
and up with the pope,
if that wont do,
we'll tear em in two,
and send him to hell,
with his red white and blue,

It comes from Ireland during the Rein of King William of England. It' about hanging, Drawing, and quartering a Tyrant.

Have a pleasant evening.

It probably missed you because of the narrow mind that it had to hit.

I'm not defending anything. I'm suggesting that your approach is ignorant, ill-informed, and frankly, keeps people under the thumb of the tyrant, ruler, rich person, plantation owner, whatever you wish to call them.

It's an old story. Everyone wants to think there's a devil, a monster, an evil that is contained within a being, and if they just kill the person, or persons, off, then everything will be sunshine and roses.

That's so much horseshit.

It doesn't make the people smarter, more capable, give them more control. It just leaves them as cannon fodder for the next tyrant, monster, plantation owner, etc. Drawing and quartering, guillotine, rope, 9mm - killing the monster has never done a fucking thing for anyone except the armchair generals who get to retire after a lot of other people get killed FOR them, who slap themselves on the back and say "see, told you so". But they don't have to live the life of tragedy left behind in their wake. It's like turning on the t.v. and seeing a pill for every ill, yet if you would turn off the tv and use that time to walk around outside you would very likely do your self more good in the long run.

Look at all the bad guys we have killed in the past few years. Yet 10 million families are still foreclosed on and dragged from their homes, 50 million are on inadequate food stamps (and about to get less in November) good jobs are being disposed of and McJobs taking their place by the millions, and income inequality has done nothing but increase over the the past 6 years, and tens of millions will die without ever recovering from the financial mess we are in. We aren't safer, we aren't better off.

Had they been strong enough to resist it in the first place, educated as to what was taking place, the thieving criminals that run the banks would never have had the opportunity to do that. Instead people were running around looking for monsters, instead of realizing they they were their own worst enemy.

If you care about anything except your own opinion, which is pretty transparent now, read a little...go read the writing of Mother Jones and Bill Haywood and the Industrial Unions and the IWW between 1865 and about 1920.

They knew it wasn't enough to depose the wealthy, they HAD to gain control of production, make the decisions. Business bought the Business Unions, they bought the government, they bought many of the people, and directly attacked the effort to "control". They embarked on a campaign to discredit it and rid us of that history, because they knew that losing such control was much worse than being killed. Ask Rockefeller - he actually thought people starting such things was a profit-making opportunity...

"The way to make money is to buy when blood is running in the streets." <--his words. He liked nothing better than to see the people marching with their torches and pitchforks, because he knew they weren't knowledgeable enough to compete with him, and it would make the weak-kneed business owners sell cheaply.

Want effective change? Go read about the Mondragon Cooperative in Spain. Under a dictator, a priest got some folks together and educated them in engineering and business. They borrowed some money from their neighbors, bought a paraffin stove manufacturing plant (about 1956 or so). Then they started training others, and making them owners also, and employing each other. Today their revenues are in the millions, they have their own university, their own bank, and even with Spain's terrible financial crisis, they have not had to lay off a single person throughout that whole mess. They are under no ones control but their own.

Read this:
Discourse on Voluntary Servitude
ÉTIENNE DE LA BOÉTIE,

He wrote it about 1450, before the French Revolution that resulted in a few tyrants losing their heads, along with tens upon tens of thousands of ordinary citizens, among them the left-wing folks who started the whole revolution. They had good intentions. They were going to kill off the tyrant, and things would be better, except that the wealthy just took the place of the tyrant. The people ignored his writings, to their immense tragedy.

"The tyrant, indeed, has nothing more than the power that you confer upon him to destroy you. Where has he acquired enough eyes to spy upon you, if you do not provide them yourselves? How can he have so many arms to beat you with, if he does not borrow them from you? The feet that trample down your cities, where does he get them if they are not your own? How does he have any power over you except through you? How would he dare assail you if he had no cooperation from you?"

You overthrow the tyrant by “merely by willing to be free.”

"Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces."

Here.

And you do that by cooperating with your friends and neighbors, train each other in the skills the billionaire has learned, just like all of us can, and compete with them. Don't make excuses, don't whine, don't say they are too big, and most of all, don't focus on bringing them down, because it takes away from the work that is more important.

When you stop propping them up, they will fall of their own accord.

ymmv, but who knows...

Have a pleasant evening.<--You too.
