Identity Theft: Biometric ID database threatens privacy in Israel

Getting your fingerprints used to mean you were suspected of being up to no good. In Israel, though, it's now being used to combat ID fraud, but not everyone is happy that the government is planning to hold biometric information on every citizen.

like I saw posted on DU, who needs creative speculation about "chipping everybody" to track us when everybody is carrying a smartphone AND it's reading your fingerprints?
