So, a lot of disinformation going about on CSPAN in regards to the government shutdown.
First. A caller from Kentucky wants to end entitlements and is totally cool with a government shutdown. Second, A call from Louisiana who wants, "Something to happen from the fruitcakes". Last a campaigner calls in to tell us why Tom Graves, infamous for trying to underfund the Affordable Care Act, should be the next president or at least a senator.
I strongly feel you should talk with your friends and family about the affordable care act. Many of the callers seemed to be oblivious to the benefits of the Affordable Care Act. It has nothing to do with fruitcake.
Also, Tom Graves is a horrible person.

Once they get a taste of it, I doubt the average republican voter will want it to happen again.

(1,113 posts)It comes down to Bernie's speech about why people are angry: we're getting economically screwed while the .1% are raking up all the wealth in the society.
But that wealth buys big media, and federal and state elections.
How do you get people who want to hate minorities and blame "liberals" for everything to question their beliefs, their premises?
That's the rub. You can't.
You can talk and plead with people one on one, but it's unlikely anyone gets persuaded to change their views by a talk show.
They're not kidding when they say they want to shut down they government. They do, permanently.
When we have a revolution--and it looks more and more inevitable--the guys with all the guns and the 10,000 Watt transmitters will have some advantages, including the military
