Bill Maher: We Are Never Going to Stop Mass Shootings Because 'Both Parties Love Guns!'

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-maher-we-are-never-going-to-stop-mass-shootings-because-both-parties-love-guns/

Bill Maher regretfully brought up the latest mass shooting on his show Friday, saying he’s sick and tired of all the media coverage because every time there’s a shooting like this, the media goes all-out to report it, and the NRA “assassins lobby” exploits people’s fears for personal profit.

Then backed off faster than than a cat encountering water when the gun proved otherwise? I just know they were going to monk-chant the same ban doctrine, but decided to scramble for a smidgen of credibility instead.

Maybe they have learned that using the same approach and expecting... well, you know the rest. We can all hope MSM takes a diff approach. It's not 1983 anymore, and more importantly, there is increasing recognition that there are a lot of Democratic gun-owners who are tired of paying a price to schlep the gun-control issue with EVERY candidate we run.

And I'm sure Bill still has his piece.

should be instructive. Compare this latest mass-shooting and the accompanying outcry with the Newtown shooting and the outcry there. Do you see the difference in tone, theme and intensity?
Why is that?

Animosity doesn't just cloud judgment, it blinds one to mere observation. I have carefully and respectfully warned at least one of your allies,
who harbors perhaps more ill will toward me and my allies than you, of at least 2 looming dangers:

1) the "Channel Changer" mentality creeping into how the public views the phenomena of mass-shootings; and

2) the rapid over-taking of guns and gun issues by the very specter of technology which gives us that Channel Changer in-a-hand. How will Anyone treat 3D guns and rail guns (you saw the videos here in DU) when -- when -- they become available like the next iPhone? I don't know. Do you?

Trying to be constructive.
