Related: About this forumThe only thing that bothers me is this was a lot of work just preaching to the choir. It makes US feel good, but the people this is supposedly targeting - rapists and potential rapists - are not going to be moved much, ultimately.
Yes, it could help prevent a few rapes, and in that context. it is very good. But, I'm afraid rapists aren't like you and me. I don't think they are being very philosophical or considerate at the time.

(110,159 posts)so it is important our boys tell their peers... dont rape. in a culture today that gets a thumb up in rape. i think we need to educate our boys. i have a couple. i certainly did. also, girls need to hear this from the boys. and finally, it will give further resolve for the boys that recognize rape to stand up to peers. for a couple different reasons, with a video of boys saying... dont rape reinforcing our boys to speak up and out.
win win win. in my opinion.

(3,300 posts)If you are trying to curtail the "drunk and thoughtless" rape by college student, then I agree 100%. I just don't think hardcore rapists, will care much. But they probably are already lost. Its very good to save those that are ultimately good people from making stupid drunk decisions.
