We still don't realize how close we came to Armageddon with W sitting in the White House. Any real Cuban Missile type crisis and civilization would have been burnt toast.

This sounds like a lot of jibberish but it is the way that I interpret the Bible: The family of Jesus and their followers, were outcasts in Israel after the death of Christ. The Bible says that since Jesus was from the cities of the Promised Child, then He would not be believed by Israel or Family of Jacob. The Bible says that the Remnant, will come from the North, not the West-Americas, nor from the East-Babylon and not from the South-the sentence of the 40 years where the old generations of Jacob passed away.

Paul, Apostle of the Risen Christ, traveled around to various Christian Churches to the North (not Catholic). One of the things that Paul ask for was for donations for the Christian Remnant to be taken back the Church in Israel. James, brother of Christ, was the head of the Christian Church, there. Where, to the North, is this Church now? Was it protected during WWII by the Church Fathers/Catholicism inside the Seven Hills of Rome, where Paul was killed? Where is the Remnant now?

Jesus, was the son of Mary, a Levite. In my opinion, the Second coming of Christ will be through the, return of the, Remnant from the Second Child, the family of Benjamin, as he came from the Second Mother of Israel. Mary descended from the Second Child of the First Wife of the Promised Child. In my opinion, the Remnant is in the second set of generations, not the first. And the West is not the North.

Thank you for reading this through if you did.

Among a number of Texan cult followers. Their pivot point is at the end of the apocalypse time line. From my days among them, it runs like this:

All people in the world go crazy because of *sin and start killing each other.*

The environment is so messed up, that almost **every living thing dies.**

Jesus doesn't know when, no one knows when, but when things get really bad X3 or point of no return, God sends the clean up crew down ot Earth, AKA the four horsemen of the apocalypse to wipe out all corruption, both human and otherwise. But it's not the end, not yet.

People will be given many chances to repent as they are covered with sores, afflicted by insects and vermin, but ***won't*** as they are Satan's crew.

At this time, only ****pure hearted**** believers will be spared, taken up in a cloud with Jesus who makes an appearance to save his flock, then takes them to their mansions in heaven, another planet or plane of existance, most likely, where they will be given their marching orders to carry out in the New Heaven and New Earth. The rest of humans will be in the Tribulation, but not them.

Some who believe this look forward with glee to a time when all those who mocked them and their faith get their just desserts. Yes, some look forward to this, and others feel sad, still it won't be their problem, either group. They see themselves as apart.

The key message is to not hang out with the 'losers' in the eternal realm or feel bad about them, since they're going to Hell and might pull you down with them. This is not only a belief among cults, though.

Many believe you can't have Jesus return without removing the Dome of the Rock, the Muslim temple supposedly on a sacred area. Geography is part of this belief system. They also claim that Muslims, atheists, liberal believers, abd the satanic, unrepentant Jews will refuse to accept Jesus as the Christ, so they are among the unbelievers. No one cares when they get swept away with the rest. Nice, huh?

They are into geography but not historical facts. They think Jesus still requires the real estate Israel claims now, the Mount of Olives to touch ground on, with a sound that will ring the Earth like a bell, so no one will be excused from accepting God's rule on Earth that time, but for many, it will be too late.

Then the entire planet will 'cleansed' with fire, not a flood as before, and when all the cleansing is done, the Chosen will return to Earth to serve God's will, while Satan schemes busily in Hell until he is released to do the same thing he did before. Ummm...

So the apocalypse has a sequel, which makes all the misery and destruction visited upon innocent creatures, and the creation, rather pointless, or even worse, as cruel and capricious as the Greek pantheon. This, even without the deities, may be the case, if it's a cycle. How depressing.

*By no means unique to Christianity, as the ancient Vikings, Hopi and Hindus have variations on this theme. We have people acting wild in the USA, meaner than a wild animal eviscerating and eating their meal alive.

It may be the inescapable result of overpopulation. Woo claims it's a cosmic thing that repeats itself.

The current rightwing religion cults say it's the result of disrespecting innocent life by abortion and also sexual excess by gays and women. Yes, there is a lot of irrational right there. To them the wars are not evil, they are good.

According to them, we're all screwed, so they will fight to keep their money in their hands so they can make it until Jesus comes back. Those on the government dime now are evil ones because they sold their souls to the Satanic USA government. A lot of woo 'goes there.' and says the Founders were all Satanic freemasons who as we all know, at one time were hanging out with Jews.

**We've got this coming at us from CT, media, real world, and tradition. The worse things get, the closer their redemption. They see the BP blowout in the Gulf of Mexico the same way Rick Perry does, a punishment for sinful mankind. Joe Barton apologized to BP for Obama trying to get restitution for it. Since it's God's will such destruction comes, in order to bring people to God by admitting we're helpless.

We aren't, but if you try to say so, you're in rebellion against God. Thus with Satan. It's a circular firing squad with all the living creatures on Earth caught in the middle.

They believe Jesus returns to make sure some life remains on planet Earth which he miraculously will restore to the state of Eden. possibly with the help of believers. I wonder if he's working with those Norwegians on the seed bank there...

But they say that's after Jesus first kills off all the bad guys for killing life on Earth, and being sinful, and killing those who believed in God and Jesus, the martyrs, et al. This in not the liberal's meek and mild Jesus, but one coming with a sword and fire to cleanse Earth. I won't offend by posting a picture of Jesus holding a long gun in one hand and a child in his lap, but their Jesus seems to be an 'American Patriot,' as well.

***Believe in abortion or women or gay rights, secular or democratic government?

That part is for you. They say they are perfectly justified in killing you in advance, but they are nice and loving, so they want to let God do it. So repent now while you have a chance, they say. ***

****This is in keeping with many other belief systems. They just don't seem to enjoy the destruction of life on Earth or fellow humans quite as much as the cults of all kinds do.

Jews I know say this is all bullshit and to leave them out of this. They are not going to convert because it's been part of oppressing them for many centuries and it would be by force, thus a lie They know they are just being used again by the rightwingers to justify their greed and insanity.

The wildest of these cults who believe they will become the Jews (Neo-Jews?), the Chosen People, and want to return to temple sacrifices and all Old Testament laws, which Jews I know don't want. And what a boring life the cults want for all of us in their Kingdom Come.

Pardon the length of this and the confusion, but it's been a while since I took the journey trying to get where these people are coming from.

It's like theatre. You have to enter the fantasy to learn the story, accept it as a possible reality. Then work on their assumptions to get the way they reason.

One thing they have going for them now are harsh cultish warnings to not stray, or to entertain anything outside what their leaders say. In theatre is called 'breaking the fourth wall,' as explained to me in college classes, or here on this Wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_wall

I'm thinking this is a part of Christianity many will not admit to believing in deep down, but the cults see the Bible in literal terms. Add our brand of American equality and tolerance of any kind of thinking to ignorance, mix well to rule the world, and this is what you get.

8. If you can believe any of this,

why can't you believe the history that says Jesus the man was only preaching to Jews. He did not care what happened to gentiles. After the death of Jesus, his brother James carried on his teachings and made it absolutely clear that you had to reach Jesus through the JEWISH faith. Paul is the one who first stated that you could become a true Christian by simply accepting Jesus the Christ as your saviour. He was recruiting everybody and James followed him around and tried to undo his damage. When the Romans finally killed James for the same crime as Jesus, Paul's version took over and that's what we have today. A total cock-up of what was originally intended.

It is so strange that a group of Christians (I'll be respectful and capitalize Christians) are trying to convert Jews to Jesus the Christ, when Jesus the man was totally, 100 percent Jewish and planned on only reaching out to more Jews. He wanted to change the Jews, but through their religion, not by throwing it away and creating something that included gentiles.

Thank the sun I'm atheist or this stuff would drive me insane. I don't know, maybe I'm already in my own tribulation.

9. Modern-day Christianity should rightfully be called "Paulism".

You are correct, Jesus preached and presented himself as a reformer of the Jewish faith, not the creator of another one.

But then again, what Paul invented was useful to the Roman Empire.

10. Yes. Paulism is a better faith title for Christianity, but..
Tue Nov 12, 2013, 05:35 PM

Christianity has a better ring to it. And who would have followed "Paul" teachings? He had to use Jesus the man (brand). It was obviously much easier to convert Romans and others to a religion where all you had to do was literally just say you accepted Jesus as your saviour and you were promised this heavenly afterlife. It made the suffering you were actually living through- under whatever despot- feel not quite as important when you could believe in a life after death with all your loved ones in a land of milk and honey: sitting right up there with Jesus.

I went through a "Jesus the Christ" phase and it felt very good. Still to this day, I can imagine how wonderful it would be if that "Paulism" were true.

And yeah, what Paul preached became political not religious and country after country used it to their particular advantage. While this might not have been unusual for any belief system at any time, Christianity took over a big chunk of the world. I've read many times that the best PR guy ever was a man named Paul.

Who was lost? The three sons of Noah and their offspring were the Gentiles/Generations until the Promised Child, Israel was born. I believe that the House of Jacob, and descendents, were the Jews.

the end timers are irrational (of course personal opinion) but some of them have been, are, or will be in some position of power to help their "cause" come to fruition. That is the complete destruction of our civilization. Of course humans may alter the ecology of the earth to the point of extinction which, at this point in human history, is the most plausible scenario. Not someone's god or gods bringing wrath to the human population because they don't believe in some superstitious, irrational book written during the bronze age.
