Related: About this forum'Killed from the Inside Out' - BP Chemicals Exposed - '60 MINUTES - AUSTRALIA'
Above is the show clip for the Australian 60 Minutes Episode titled "CRUDE SOLUTION", **** I have updated this post to include full episode vs. intro clip ******
When petroleum giant BP spilled millions of litres of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico three years ago, it was the worst ever offshore oil disaster. Now, this environmental disaster is a health catastrophe,
It was the worlds worst ever oil disaster, 60 Minutes stated. To try and break up that slick, vast quantities of chemical dispersant was sprayed on the spill. It seemed to work: The oil disappeared. But, people started getting sick, and then, people started dying, the reported said after 60 Minutes conducted what it calls its special investigation. Now, this environmental disaster has become a health catastrophe.
Below is a link directly to 60 Minutes Australia - just for Part 1 in case original clip is removed from YouTube.

Reading about recent reports of flesh-eating bacteria found teeming in tar balls from the BP spill makes one wonder if corexit, a chemical which 'eats' oil is responsible for now 'eating human flesh'? Or does it serve as a food for flesh eating bacteria to thrive and spread?

________
It appears the American version of 60 Minutes could learn a thing or two from the Australian 60 Minutes production team who obviously does their homework.

We absolutely know there are far better ways to provide for our energy needs. It's high time we put an end to this carnage and profiteering at all costs.
It's truly disgusting & beyond that, criminal.
Well done, tomm2thumbs, K & R!

(16,350 posts)6. We knew it.
We here were aware of the toxicity of these dispersants. I am not at all surprised people have become very ill and even died from exposure to this poison. But it can't be shown on our 60 Minutes, because money is king, as the man in the broadcast said. My gosh, I'm so mad.
I'd like to take the BP top management and dunk them in the Gulf. It's only fair.
Between this and Fukushima, I'm not eating anything from the ocean to the extent possible.
Thanks for sharing!
