unusual as media pretty much ignored teens and teen music in those days in the USA

I remember our teenaged babysitter wore a hole in the carpet dancing to my dad's Beatles 45's

That segment is chock full of backhanded compliments. Then there's the interview, with the typical inane questions: "Why are you popular?" "Are you worried you won't be popular anymore?" No wonder the Beatles were such smartasses at press conferences, after hearing those same two questions over and over again.

John would answer "Harry" and Paul would follow suit and say "Charlie". They learned the game very early. IIRC, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was released on 11/22/63.

Don't remember this in particular I thought of the Beatles as being after JFK and as a kind of salvation for me....

back then. fucking twit reporting.

The Beatles seem about 10x smarter than the nerd interviewing them.

2013 and fan adoration of the Beatles still hasn't run its course.

Those Beatles continued to amuse and entertain me throughout the remainder of High School and my undergraduate days. So many memories of suave and healing were gotten by these very talented young men. In fact, I still enjoy them so much.
