This is how it will happen, the way water finds its way through mountains, the way morning finds its way through night. We must keep trying and trying, finding new voices to join in, each one adding a new piece of experience that subtly changes the composition of the common wisdom, deepening and broadening it for all of us together. We don't even know exactly what will happen in the future, but we don't have to know that. We only have to do our best, each one of us, to play our part of the music as truly as we possibly can. And teach the people who will come after us to do their best, too.

But, in light of the past several weeks, wondered what would happen if this took place in a mall or public square in America. Can see the police breaking up this obvious inciting to riot, lack of permit, causing a disturbance group-call out the SWAT team

Bill Moyers Explores Amazing Lessons of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony for Our ‘Dark Time’
http://www.thenation.com/blog/177182/bill-moyers-explores-amazing-lessons-beethovens-ninth-symphony-our-dark-time

Bill Moyers, for his national public TV show this weekend (just posted online), explores the amazing political and cultural influence of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and his “Ode to Joy” around the world, past and present. It was inspired by the new film that I’ve co-produced, directed by Kerry Candaele, Following the Ninth, and the book we wrote, Journeys With Beethoven.

Remarkably, Moyers presents almost the entire seven-minute trailer for the film, which takes you from China (and Tiananmen Square) to Chile (under Pinochet) to England to Japan and elsewhere, with a special guest appearance by Billy Bragg. Before and after the trailer, Bill offers context and some very moving words of wisdom on the meaning of the Ninth, and Beethoven’s hope-despite-struggles, for our “dark” time. ... and a collection of “Ode to Joy” flash mobs from around the globe.
