Have run across her several times, and each time she sounds like the same snarky, wound-up bitch. I don't tolerate that NJ accent much anyway, but I don't let it dictate who I like and dis-like. I put it right up there in the class of eric cantors smarmy southern drawl. Vomit time.

The guarded answer is "so the traders can conduct business in a professional and courteous manner without distraction".

YYYYyyyyyeah . . . here's the REAL answer . . .

This is what passes for "journalism" in 2013. Just in case anyone thinks he's lying about her shrill demeanor, her serial interrupting/Gish Galloping and undying fealty to the 1%, HE'S NOT. I have to watch this station 8 hours a day. Other anchors that pollute this swillmart are just as bad if not worse (Joe Kernen) than the Money Dummy.

I would be pissed off all the time...but then that may well be the purpose for this shit.
And I can't believe he stood there and let her dominate and talk over him and not be given a chance to speak...but that is what fox does well.

We recently stayed at a Motel where there was a good assortment of TV channels. I decided to test myself to see how long I could stand to watch. I lasted about a half-hour, most of which I spent trying to find something decent. I could feel my stress level rising, so I decided to end the experiment. TV and Cable are nothing but a mind-fucking waste of Time.

I found myself flipping through channel after chanel looking for something to watch...most of it was garbage and when I did find something that might have been interesting it went to a comercial...it really just pissed me off.

And really with Youtube you don't need it...at least I don't.
And Welcome to DU...

There are a few exceptional moments on TV. Most of them land here on DU. Those I watch. But to have a TV blaring in the background during my day would be Hell on Earth. No thanks. And this Bartiromo character is just one example of the reason I hate TV.

just to wind up the viewership. I think it's physically addicting for a lot of folks, much like video games tweak the peeps.

Gratuitous verbal violence; just one step up from Pro Wrestling.

Role models like her make it really "acceptable" to be merciless, rude and even violent.
