We have a lot of Progressives here but there has not been the money spent, not even close to what the Republicans are spending. Our local Democratic Party leadership has been in disarray since 2008. One local member sent an email out asking who was the President of our local party. He was the outgoing President. Sadly, no one knew for sure so they just named somebody.
We need a shot in the arm. I am sick of this ego maniac, Ted Cruz! We should not wait until further in to the season. There is much to do to get people registered and with proper I.D. thanks to our new voting laws. Wendy Davis came through for a private fundraiser and a press conference at the port, but it was a $250 minimum luncheon. I am sure she will help in the near future, but for now the locals are dormant.
We are a county with about 250,000 people, but no Republican Presidential Candidate has won here since Nixon. The last couple of years the Tea Party crap got popular, so now we have these RW nut jobs spouting off trying to out "Conservative" each other! They no longer have any real interest in their own views b/c they shift right each time one of them thinks of another thing to cut or be against. I hope they keep their house divided. I expect the Libertarians might give the GOP a run for their money, that would be sweet!

They've usually put a lot of pressure on networks not to show political ads for fear of alienating part of their audience
I'll be curious if they apply pressure not to show it
