Work in the states with slavery. We have a very despicable and sordid history in the formation of our Nation. Today is right up there with Columbus Day when you think about it...sad and greedy. So, what better way to celebrate it that SHOPPING! (NOT!)

2. THEY didn't claim to "own" it, so technically we couldn't steal it.But we did INVADE their space and

then EXCLUDE THEM from it. We bullied them around and wouldn't CO-EXIST. We've been racist, genocidal, then horrible neighbors once our formal wars stopped. We've also been part of a long human migration across continents. My two cents.
