Bravo to these brave men and women who put their lives on the line for peace in the world. The next time I hear john bolton, the disgraceful UN ambassador under W and Darth, besmirch the UN, I'll try to remind those who hear his hateful words of the good that it has done around the world. It can't solve all the problems of the world, but it IS making a HUGE difference!

which I had some ambivalence about, but it has made them effective in some situations where no military from a single country could have done the job. Some have lost their lives. It takes a true hero to join this force and risk your life for peace.

I am a Vietnam Vet....a disabled infantry vet; and I salute these brave men and women for doing as much, and MORE than our military has accomplished. I was a draftee..and at the time the choice was hard...to report for the draft or run...but I served, and I'm not that proud that I did. I'm only proud that the men next to me also served and we loved and protected each other to survive.

These men and women VOLUNTEER for this. They realize the cost. They realize the risk and potential reward for their service. I don't want to compare, but I will say, I salute them for their courage and service, as much or more than any US serviceman or woman. They are on the side of peace. Not always so from our military, sadly.
