and we just got taken over by the Koch heads, so am I paranoid? You betcha!! And they need to look at how much of the government got PRIVATIZED in big dollar contracts, and now the government workers are paying for those salaries of the CEO's that made off with all of the tax dollars earmarked to run the government.

There needs to be a new law that insures pension funds. It's a contract. The companies need to be bonded and insured if they are going to make a contract with employees to fund a pension plan.

IF WE CAN BAIL OUT WALL STREET, WE CAN BAIL OUT PENSION FUNDS THAT ARE BEING RAIDED.

I feel for the government workers who put the time and energy into working for the state and city. It is a shame that people were so dead set against selling the art. That at least would have alleviated some of the debt the city of Detroit had. I am not sure what people are willing to do to lower the cost of the bankruptcy onto the pension earners laps. It seems that most people are protecting what they feel is important and not giving an inch to help the government retirees. I have no dog in this fight but just looking at it from an outsider. This is a time for the people of Detroit and state of Illinois to come together and make choices that don't just hurt one group.

The bastards probably just want the art to hang in their mansions on the hill. Why can't we do something about this atrocity. We should start a boycott of some kind. Dare I say of the automotive industry, when I know how important these jobs are to the people of Detroit. Honestly, it's a catch22.

the pensioners (also known as real Americans) to the banks and other business who apparently need our money real bad. In another context what it would be called is theft.
