I saw this piece, I think it was on Jon Stewart, maybe on Ed, where Jon Stossel, or pretend "in the middle" status and FOX fame, put on a big old fake beard and panhandled. He collected a few bucks, then multiplied this clear, nice day, into every day, and came up with a fantastic income of $23,000 a year. Stewart of course made fun of it.

He made a point to try to drive people from making contributions to the poorest of the poor, our homeless. He made the usual claims. They aren't really homeless. They are just going to buy alcohol or smoke crack anyway.

I was thinking "What an incredibly dickless move." Seriously Stossel, you're going after the poorest, most desperate folks in America, by trying to stop anyone from dropping spare change into their hat? Not only that, but you deprive folks from the opportunity of feeling good about donating a bit directly to someone, under whatever scenario, who is having a hard time.

Honestly, I think those predators you try to catch are better people than you are, or for that matter, are better people than anyone who works for, owns, or has anything to do with FOX. Hell, you FOX guys pretty much rape America.
