and parents are free to bring their children up believing the same nonsense they do.

Teaching creationism in public schools is another matter. Since creationism is religiously based, there is no place for it in secular, government supported schools. Parents who want their children to believe the same rubbish they do are going to have to homeschool or pony up for a church school.

However, it is not child abuse. It's merely illegal in public schools.

I couldn't listen to this whole thing. I can feel brain cells popping whenever I hear anything Kelly says. At my age, I can no longer spare 'em.

If they want to go off and start their own madrasas, fine, but don't ask everyone else to pay for it by cancelling music classes and firing teachers at a public school.

If parents want to keep the kids ignorant, it's home school or tuition for a religious school.

I'm sick of the government pussyfooting around these jerks.

If it's taught as science it's simply the ugly truth that dogma begets stupid. But if it's taught as a myth or superstition.. then hey public schools... go for it.
