Just May Be Matt Damon's Best Performance, Civil Obedience

In 2012, Matt Damon helped pay tribute to the late historian and author Howard Zinn. This rendition of a speech Zinn gave in 1970 on civil disobedience is one of his most powerful performances to date.

I was going by the title. I have heard the speech before and it's awesome.

Thanks for posting!

And it is more relevant today than it was then...or should I say more necessary today than then.

I used to think we'd never become a narco-state, then we heard about Air-America.

Then I used to think we'd draw the line at pushing drugs in the street, then we hear how minority communities are being used to sell drugs to help stamp out communism.

Finally, I said, we'd never become a manufacturer or a grower with platoons of soldiers living in air-conditioned desert-tents (costing $20 billion a year) as the security arm for the heroin producers of the Afghanistan.

- Then I woke up, I had been dreaming the whole time......
