As an active member of the anti Vietnam War movement I knew about this speech and heard it a couple of times over 40 years ago. But I haven't heard it in a long time and it is still very moving and very relevant to our country today. His observation that the military industrial war machine would use up all the resources that are needed to build our own country and win the war on poverty are sadly accurate. While we beg for crumbs for the long term unemployed, the ever expanding "defense" budget keeps rolling along.

Thanks for posting this.
