It doesn't prominently feature Seeger, but I think what Lee Hays has to say rings very true about his life (and theirs) and is a fitting farewell:

that The Rock Island Line was also theirs. These people restored out hope and at least Pete gave us songs of justice and hope. Who is doing that now?

My father used to sing Irene ... he met Leadbelly when he was a student at the University of Texas in the '30s.
