My apologies to Ms Maddow, who I really like.
This is just too much:

(10,056 posts)It's just wrong for MSNBC to keep apologizing for this.
And firing the poor sap that posted the tweet? Disgusting.

(38,958 posts)and told them how you feel and why. Just posting here really won't have too much effect. I gave up on all TV "news" a long time ago. I get my news from the net or listening to BBC and/or NPR on the commute to and from work.

(10,056 posts)Not that it will matter.
I have no cash, therefore, there is no reason for Griffin to care.

(20,453 posts)I quit watching them a long time ago .
Too bad, Rachel, I've stuck with you since Air America days, but if you want to stick line up to bend over, YOU are going to be over just by your association.
MSNBC might not read this, but she probably will.

(1,811 posts)That's not hard, because our side is in fact weak, sad and pathetic. That's why we'll never win, and in the end, the assholes will always prevail. Sorry to say I've felt this way for eternity, and have yet to be proven otherwise.
FoxNewsSucks
(10,375 posts)We see how NBC treats anyone who isn't weak, doesn't stay within the corporate boundaries - just ask Olberman, Bashir, Uyger. MHP, who said nothing wrong, was clearly terrified that she'd be the next sacrifice unto the Altar of Teabag.
I didn't see all of the reports of this right away, but the first thing I thought when reading that tweet is, if the rightwing hadn't been so "outraged" by a mixed couple in last year's ad, there would have been NO REASON FOR THE TWEET in the first place.
That's all anyone at MSNBC should have said.
There is no liberal media on TV, or corporate radio.

(492 posts)Shouldn't they have placed him in a pillory in the court yard of Fox news and placed huge buckets of excrement nearby for Fox employees to fling at him and rub in his face?
And shouldn't the President of MSNBC offer up the daughters of his staff to the carnal lustings of Reince Priebus and his crew?
(OK, I'm kidding about Reince Priebus having any carnal listings.)
I'll watch Rachel and Chris. They're good people and interesting. I'll occasionally watch MSNBC's weekend shows. But I share the ire and frustration of all here who have spines (and we all do) at seeing the jelly-fishery of the stupid and offensively unprincipled and ass-sucking executives of MSNBC.
(That little girl is adorable, btw, isn't she?)

(18,124 posts)led and controlled by corporate fascists. And someone like griffin, total coward trying to hang on to his power and access. This is all the left has been doing since the election of our current POTUS. We have been on our knees at the altar of right wing indignation begging forgiveness from the gods of the RW. When will we find the courage to fight back against these lies and intimidation? If not now, when? I am totally disgusted. Al, Rachel, O'donnell I will miss you. My conscience will not put up with your cowardly leadership at MSNBC.

(1,370 posts)MSNBC should be apologizing to it's viewers...They're just filling a niche. Playing the role of a "progressive" network because there's an audience that's pretty much ignored in the corporate media. Profit not ideas are their bottom line.
I don't know any liberals who are weak groveling apologists, they're not representing liberal values or liberals... Network "news" shows sell customers to corporate advertisers and can't be objective. They exist to sell us products, it's as simple as that.

(460 posts)For those who say they will leave DU, Good bye you never belonged here anyway and we know when the right will try to post here. As for the rest do what number one will do.
Granted I haven't been here that long so maybe something just flew over my head but I didn't see anyone saying they were going to leave DU. I did see a few saying they weren't going to watch MSNBC.

(30,058 posts)And thought it is a wonderful commercial. I know there was some RW crap about the bi-racial commercial when the first was aired but this one is sweet. I am not so sure the staff member should have been fired after RP complained but this will not cause me to leave MSNBC. RP will not get me upset he is a nothing in my book.
PFunk
(876 posts)'cause I find myself switching to them (and TYT) more and more to get my news as MSNBC continues commiting more and more epic fails. The only MSNBC shows I watch now are Chris and Rachael (and I'm starting to lose interest in her).
This network needs and head w/balls ASAP before he kills this network that's rapidly becoming a wimpy centerist joke.
(BTW: Great commercial. Loved moms response at the end)
