I have wondered about a world wide minimum wage and if it would slow down the establishment of sweat shops?

that he fails to support with facts.

The biggest Right Wing ASSumption he makes is that raising the minimum wage will lead to more unemployment. Really? When? Where does this happen? I've never met anyone who was fired because the minimum wage went up. And since I have worked in federal (un)employment offices I have met a lot of people who have been fired, a whole lot.

He is also ASSuming that skilled labor is NOT facing huge unemployment and under-employment issues right now. He ASSumes that skilled labor can always find skilled labor jobs. So why are all those IT workers out of a job? So why are people with degrees working fast food and retail jobs? Why are former college professors waiting in the line for the unemployed?

He makes a lot of ASSumptions so his arguments against having a minimum wage are merely poorly thought out feelings.
