Snowpocalypse Paralyzes Portland, Oregon

This is an old video, but fitting today.
Seriously, Portland is experiencing the real deal right now,
with all kinds of weather records shattered in Western Oregon,
like inches of snow in February and coldest highs in the 20's.

NozzlPDX News reporter J. Featherstone Jones awaits the arrival of Snowmageddon on the Sylvan overpass over the Sunset Highway, alongside dozens of other live-broadcast reporters. Will he get the scoop on the first snowflake?

I lived out there too, just off Murray near Scholls Ferry when it was still rural, and in Scholls once too.

in the woods straight ahead just off the road we picked morels back in 1973. That was before Washington Square, when 217 still had stop lights instead of all overpasses. People still farmed between Tigard and Beaverton next to 217.

Could be an ordinary day on the Sunset, but I've been watching the actual weather reports from Portland-Salem the past couple of days. Have family there who are riding out the storms. Not too funny for them but guess winter has arrived at last. Should be careful what we wish for, huh?

Thanks for introducing me to nozzlPDX. I'll be checking it out from over here East of the Cascades.

Cheers!
