It was 50 years ago next week that Sgt. Pepper taught the world to twerk.
At least, that's what religious right broadcaster Kevin Swanson suggested in advance of the Feb. 9 semicentennial of the Beatles' first live American television performance.
The Generations Radio broadcaster joined a host of other conservative commentators in denouncing the 2014 Grammy Awards telecast as immoral, reported Right Wing Watch.
"The 2014 Grammy celebration was a celebration of fornication, twerking, stripping (and) satanic rituals topped off with about 34 weddings conducted by a lesbian with music provided by Madonna, so yeah, the homosexuals getting married and the tradition of the Caesar Nero, was basically a pagan, satanic orgy," Swanson said.
"Katy Perry and all her friends, apostates from faith, they move gradually out of the Christian faith and into a secular, demonic approach to things and they move out of the Christian -- this is how you get from a 55 percent church attendance ratio for the Silent Generation to 18 percent for the Millennial Generation down to 4 percent in the year 2025," Swanson said.

(53,661 posts)It's these weirdos trying to micromanage everyone's life. People see them ignoring the hurt and the needs of the poor and the feelings of other human beings.
And people don't miss the way these guys adore the rich and go for the big buck and the high life. They are frauds. No one wants to be around them. They're creepy.

(5,106 posts)What the HELL is your deal from Argentina? I enjoy Malloy (if not always in agreement) and don't get him locally, but also find that you're a mystery to track down. Is this a Mike/ wife ploy? I admit K(C)athy seems a very smart chick despite the celebrity and much-younger woman thing. Nonetheless, I feel this is a joke that I'm not privy to, having this as a late night habit that I rarely discuss with others. Mostly "who is Mike Malloy?" if I ever bring it up.
