Why can't America have this type of respect when getting ready for war Or even humanitarian aid

Or just understanding there are other lives and cultures in this world worthy of respect.

Why is it this speech was laughed at by a couple 18 year olds and the general called weak for this speech.

Politicians on both sides perpetuate the factually incorrect belief that America is number one. Add on to that the delusion that it was America that defeated the Nazis and the Soviet Union and you get a serious case of narcissism. If you want Americans to be thoughtful, tolerant, and open minded, then you must first humble them.

Talk is cheap. He is still a criminal.

He should be hanging for crimes against peace and crimes against humanity in Nuremberg, beside Bush and Cheney. At the end of the day, they are flip-sides of the same coin.
