Republicans were always Blue and Democrats Red until 2000 when the media switched it with no explanation given.

Maybe it was done as a way to spot a political novice. There is nothing funnier than hearing a Southerner claiming the political Right has ALWAYS been red,...like the Confederate Flag...

.....or their neck.

It is an interesting illustration but it goes by a bit too quickly. I think noting the wild trend of the last couple of decades is interesting.
