State selected representatives and the Club for Growth (probably needs to be the Club for Hair), etc. need to BUTT OUT.

This is an arms-length process under U.S. law where workers may decide to organize. VW has indicated no opposition to this.

The pukes love to talk about keeping government out of "capitalism" (they would love polluted streams, air, etc. as long as the corporations could continue to kill us) but when it comes to the possibility that VW, a for-profit company, actually welcomes employee organization you have to scratch your head.

I believe the reason is these groups so hate unions they believe they were responsible for original sin, the national debt, the Lindbergh kidnapping and cancer. If these workers are able to successfully organize and COOPERATE with VW in terms of being part of the solution, this undermines the reich wing's whole position on unions as bad.

They certainly cannot allow this to happen if bribery (oh, I meant tax incentives) were at play. Their corporate masters would not appreciate any suggestion that collective bargaining could actually be good for a corporate bottom line and result in good-paying jobs with benefits, health and safety work rules and some level of job protection.

Volkswagen just put out a statement saying they are not concerned about outside groups interferring with this vote. After all, Volkswagen has been through this scenario before. They are for the workers and their products reflect how the company respects the employees who in turn respect the management by building fine automobiles. Let's hope Grover Norquist gets his ass kicked here and Corker and the rest mainly, Bo Watson, who is threatening to use legislative tactics in the Tennessee Congress if the employees vote for a union. Good piece on the ED SHOW...
