Scott Walker Dodges, Slips, Falls Into Own Slime, On Fox News Yet

by Abby Zimet

In the wake of last week's release of 27,000 damning pages of emails from former aides and allies under investigation for being, as many suspected, liars, cheaters, grifters, hacks, political opportunists and out-and-out bigots - with scorching comments on Jews, blacks, gays, undocumented immigrants and "crazy people" - Scott Walker has stuck to the old "nothing to see" approach every time he's asked about his own involvement in the Walkergate scandal. So it was that in Sunday's appearance on the once-and-friendly Fox News, he was blithely rolling along with the usual lies and talking points about what a swell job he's done with Wisconsin's economy - now in the toilet - when Chris Wallace up and started acting like a journalist, asking Walker if he knew about a secret email system uncovered in the investigation. The perturbed Walker quickly dodged, hemming and hawing that "this is old news" and he is not a criminal and he has nothing to say and now let's talk about our great economy. To which Wallace improbably retorted that actually it's "new news" to many and "big news" in Wisconsin media and what's up with that? More dodging by Walker, followed by Wallace's "But sir, you're not answering my question." See Walker - once he of the Presidential ambitions, now toast - crash and burn.

I think they really wanted Christie to at least run, that would have provided them with a lot of fodder for ratings. Why they are sabotaging Walker is really a good question. I do not think Jindal or Rubio has a chance in hell. nor do I believe Rand Paul stands much of a chance in general election.

I bet Walker wasn't really expecting that. The fact that it's actually happening on Fox news is somewhat telling.

But Jeb Bush though? I'm really not sure enough time has expired since the last Bush. We do have an extraordinarily short memory though.
