Obviously Clarence Thomas doesn't ask a single question or probe into any matter of importance to the people.

Yes, it is not indicative of a Democratic country that much of "our" political process is not transparent. This includes the political PAC money from congress and how it is spent, not allowing our citizens to view "our" judiciary process, closed door TPP negotiations, etc.
Candidate Obamas platform was very clear that under his administration, transparency would prevail.
Sadly it has been the polar opposite.
As citizens we have been told that in the name of National Security most of our Government process' must not be revealed to the public.
How about the FEC and how they miraculously sell their stocks just before a corporation is investigated and yes, how our laws are determined by the SCOTUS must be done in near total secrecy.
None of these things that I have mentioned should impact our national security. It would however allow citizens to see how the 1% are given priority. Our national transparency has decreased during this administration. If a whistle blower comes forward to inform
us of un-American practices, they are vilified and prosecuted more harshly than murderers, just like bank-robbers are. Of course banksters who steal much larger sums of money are rarely prosecuted. If they are, then their crimes are still very profitable while incarceration is usually not considered.
Of course we should be allowed to observe the "democratic process" of our most powerful court.
The less we know, the better it is for those who destroy democracy.
