I encourage everyone who has some free time to think about participating in an adult literacy program. It's usually sponsored by the public library. The smile of achievement and accomplishment in the eyes of the "student" is by far the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling you will ever have. A light appears in their eyes when it all starts to come together. They reach a point where they just "take off" and start reading everything they can get their hands on. I wish our commercials were more like this one.
